Commencement FAQs
How many tickets does each student get and how do they acquire them?
Each student is allotted two tickets to accommodate space for all attendees and must sign up for them via a forthcoming sign-up form.
Where is the event held?
Berklee NYC’s commencement is held in the Appel Room, Jazz at Lincoln Center, 10 Columbus Circle, New York, NY, 10023.
What is the call time for students/faculty? For families?
The call time for students/faculty is 10:15 a.m. The event begins at 12:30 p.m., with a reception following the ceremony from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Guests are not permitted into the building with students at 10:15 a.m. and are asked to arrive between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the main entrance.
Should students arrive at commencement wearing their robes?
Yes, students must arrive dressed for the ceremony, with robes already streamed and ready. As a reminder, students can only wear official Berklee graduation regalia to the ceremony (cap, gown, stoles).
When will students receive their diplomas?
A form will be sent to all graduating students in the weeks following commencement where they can request their diploma and specify their mailing address. It will take 8-10 weeks after submitting the form for your diploma to arrive.
