Julianne Wick Davis is an award-winning composer and lyricist who has produced work for numerous projects in theater and music. Named one of 2020's 50 Women to Watch on Broadway by the Broadway Women’s Fund, she has contributed to multiple productions featured by the New York Times Critics' Picks list, the Washington Post's list of the best theatrical events of 2019, and the GLAAD Media Awards, among other notable distinctions.
Davis has had the opportunity to work with the industry’s most exciting creators on projects as varied as Shakina Nayfack’s Manifest Pussy and an adaptation of Alexandra Silber’s After Anatevka at Symphony Space and Minetta Lane. Her most recent work with long-time collaborator Dan Collins, Trevor (music), is scheduled to open off-Broadway in November of 2021 after its successful premiere at Writer’s Theatre in Chicago, where it received a Joseph Jefferson Award for Outstanding New Musical. Her previous project with Collins, Southern Comfort (music), was performed at the Public Theatre, where it was a New York Times Critics' Pick and received Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Circle award nominations for Outstanding Musical. She is currently developing a new musical with Collins, Annette O’Toole, and Michael McKean based on the documentary Harold & Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story.
Davis comes to Berklee NYC from New York University, where she was an assistant arts professor.
