Julie Kathryn is a songwriter, producer, sound designer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist known for crafting sonic worlds — emotionally resonant soundscapes that evoke alien landings, surrealistic dream sequences, nostalgic synthpop gems, and spiritual oases. She has developed a unique dream pop aesthetic, writing and self-producing numerous EPs and albums under the moniker I AM SNOW ANGEL while touring both locally and internationally. A sought-after collaborator, she has produced tracks for a variety of artists across an array of genres. As a sound designer, Julie regularly designs MIDI presets and audio content for Ableton and other leading audio and software companies. She recently composed and produced the original electronic-orchestral score for the feature-length indie heist film, The Unexpecteds.
Julie cofounded Female Frequency, a collective dedicated to amplifying women and gender-expansive individuals in the music industry through educational events, networking, and collaborative projects. She is honored and excited to bring her passion for songwriting, production, and community-building to Berklee NYC.
