Admitted Students
If you have been accepted to Berklee's New York City campus, there are a number of enrollment steps to complete prior to the start of the semester. Review the information below and check the next steps section in the applicant portal (opens in a new window) for a comprehensive list of action items.
Paying Your Tuition Deposit
Tuition deposits for Berklee NYC are due upon acceptance notification. This initial deposit is credited towards your first semester bill. This deposit confirms your intention to attend the college and secures your seat in the entering class.
Make sure that your $2,500 deposit is paid in full no later than May 1.
Go to the applicant portal (opens in a new window), indicate "yes" to reply to your admissions offer and then pay your tuition deposit. To learn more about the different ways to pay your tuition deposit (e.g. check, credit card), visit our website.
Acceptance Expiration
Your acceptance is dependent on the successful completion of any outstanding schoolwork. Admission acceptances are only valid for the academic year to which you apply; you may not defer your acceptance. If you want to attend the following year, you must reapply and resubmit all the required application materials.
For International Students
International students are required to obtain an F-1 student visa prior to commencing their study in the U.S. You will need an I–20 form from Berklee in order to apply for an F-1 student visa at a U.S. consulate or embassy.
Planning Your Move
Once a student is accepted, there are a handful of resources we curate to help ease the stress around moving to New York City. Accepted students will be able to participate in:
- Accepted Students' Facebook Group: Once admitted to Berklee NYC, members of our incoming class will be provided a private link to join the incoming class Facebook page. This is a great chance to connect with other students before the start of the year and ask questions to your peers and current Berklee NYC students. This is also a great place to connect with potential roommates!
- "Preparing for Berklee NYC": This Zoom webinar held throughout the summer will run through the student onboarding process and touch on apartment hunting in New York City, with tips and tricks for commuting, smart budget reminders, and more.
Berklee NYC makes no endorsements or guarantees with regard to the availability of housing in New York City.
After you have submitted your deposit visit our Housing Resources page:
