Angie Teo began her career at Right Track Recording, where she learned from the top talents in the industry including Phil Ramone, Julie Taymor, Yo-Yo Ma, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Bono and The Edge, and Madonna. She has contributed to countless musical cast albums, including In the Heights, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Death Becomes Her, and Schmigadoon!. The original cast album for Be More Chill was recorded and mixed by Teo, and has been one of the most streamed cast albums of the past two decades. Teo has also worked on film projects such as West Side Story (directed by Steven Spielberg), Highest 2 Lowest (directed by Spike Lee), tick, tick…BOOM! (directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda), Little Richard: I Am Everything (nominated for a Grammy for Best Music Film), Troublemaker: The Story Behind the Mandela Tapes (directed by Antoine Fuqua and premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival), and Disney’s Moana (2026 live-action).
Originally from Singapore, she has been a recording and mixing engineer based in New York City for the past 20 years and has garnered multiple Grammy nominations for her work.
