Justin Guzzwell is a multidisciplinary musician, artist, and performer from Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. His creative practice spans a wide range of contexts, from underground punk, electronic, and experimental music scenes in Montreal and New York City to a collaborative residency in Iceland with musicians, visual artists, puppeteers, and filmmakers.
At Berklee NYC, Guzzwell teaches Ableton and Logic Pro workshops, supporting students as they develop practical skills and workflows to realize their creative goals. He also teaches interactive performance with the Ableton Live elective, which emphasizes hands-on exploration of live performance and the translation of original music to the stage.
His artistic work moves fluidly between singer-songwriter and producer-driven practices, incorporating elements of hyperpop and experimental music. Integrating drawing and animation into his releases and performances, Guzzwell’s work reflects an ongoing interest in the relationship between sound, visuals, and live experience.
