Heidi Brant is an artist, designer, and educator. After majoring in child psychology in her undergraduate career, Brant discovered New York University’s interactive telecommunications program (ITP), which inspired her interest in design and allowed her to explore crucial technological skills. ITP enabled her to get a job with the Lego Group, where she spent the next 10 years working as a creative producer and experience design strategist. This position allowed her to apply her interests in both design and psychology. She is certified by the Association of Master Trainers in the Facilitation of the Lego Serious Play method and approaches her designs with a human-centered philosophy.

Brant’s unique background in psychology, sculpture, and design has taught her to listen closely to the stories of the audiences of her designs; she strives to understand the needs of her users as deeply as possible. She teaches design research at New York University and design thinking at Berklee NYC.
